Landlord Advice

It’s the first question most landlords ask us, and the honest answer is: it depends on the property, the area and how involved you want to be. Here’s the comparison we walk through in a first conversation.
Where short-term lets win
Higher potential income in areas with steady visitor demand, full flexibility to use the property yourself, and no long tenancy to unwind if your plans change. The trade-off is operational: cleaning, guest communication and pricing never stop, and income varies month to month.
Where traditional tenancies win
Predictable rent, lower running costs, less day-to-day involvement and simpler compliance. The trade-off is inflexibility, the property is committed for the tenancy term, and a poor tenant match is harder to correct than a poor guest review.
Three questions that usually settle it
Does the area have year-round reasons for short stays, or only seasonal ones?
Do you value maximum income or minimum involvement more?
Will you want personal use of the property in the next two years?
Answer those three honestly and the right model usually chooses itself. If it’s still unclear, run both projections side by side before committing, we can help with that.
